About us

An atelier for artists of the future.

Atelier Nova is a reimagined studio for artists, dreamers, and digital pioneers. Rooted in the time-honored principles of the classical atelier, it bridges traditional fine art training with the tools and ideas of a new creative era.

We’re not here to follow trends—we’re here to shape them. Whether you work in charcoal or code, oils or AI, this is where your artistic identity meets the future of expression.

Join our constellation of creators. The next renaissance belongs to those who master both discipline and imagination.

Meet Us

Emily Carrig

Artist & Founder

Emily Carrig is a fine artist and creative entrepreneur whose work bridges classical technique with future-forward expression. With an MFA from the New York Academy of Art and an administrative background in education and leading New York galleries, her journey blends academic training with art history and digital possibility.

Beyond the canvas, her fascination with innovation and the decentralized creator economy led me to explore blockchain, NFTs, and the future of artistic independence. Through True Stars, she helps fellow creatives build their own legacies, breaking free from the constraints of traditional industries.

Marilyn Traeger

Artist, Educator, and Lifelong Creative

Marilyn Traeger’s artistic journey began at home, inspired by the creative spirit of her father, Samuel Traeger, and the steady presence of her mother, Buddy Wolfson Traeger, who instilled in her a love for gratitude, curiosity, and quiet self-entertainment. Their influence continues to shape her creative path today.

What began as incessant childhood sketching grew into a lifelong exploration of media—from lithography and oils to photography, mixed media, and digital art through Photoshop. Her work has been exhibited in Miami’s vibrant art scene, including AI, NWSA, Art South, the Gallery of Light, and GQ Gallery, and has been featured in various publications.

Yet Marilyn’s greatest creative legacy may be her 37-year career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where she joyfully PLORKED—played and worked—with thousands of young artists. She has received numerous honors, including the NBCT designation and several prestigious awards from FAEA and DAEA, recognizing her contributions to art education and her ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.

Now, Marilyn is diving into new chapters—artistic, literary, philanthropic, entrepreneurial, and tech-forward—while also enjoying leisurely lunches, open-ended creative time, and, as she puts it, “the freedom to visit the facilities whenever nature calls.”
